The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.
(Catechism of the Catholic Church 1324)
The Eucharist is essential for living as faithful followers of Jesus. As Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion we serve to bring Jesus’ call to “feed his sheep” to fruition and help to unite us all as the one Body of Christ.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be trained locally and through the Diocese. The Diocese is offering a training session at Sacred Heart on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 AM. Other sessions are being offered in other locations around the Diocese.
Anyone interested in training as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for Sacred Heart Parish may contact Jeanne Boyd or Mary Ellen Sarasin through the church office 264-8087.
