Together we form a parish that works together creating relationships within a social environment. There are many ways to become involved in serving our parish. The vertical menu at left provides opportunities to engage in necessary functions of the parish. They also provide fellowship opportunities for the volunteers.

Sunday Morning Hospitality
This ministry prepares and serves refreshments following the Sunday 9:30am Mass all year and after the 8:00am Mass in the summer providing parishioners and visitors with an opportunity to gether in fellowship after the celebration of the Eucharist. Volunteers in this ministry prepare coffee and refreshments, set up and clean up the service area, and warmly welcome those who attend. The ministry alternates responsibility for hosting social hour with the Knights of Coumubus.
The time shared after Mass is an important extension of parish life. It is an opportunity to welcome newcomers, strengthen friendships, and foster the sense of community that is at the heart of our parish family. Through simple acts of hospitality and service this group helps create a welcoming environment where relationships are formed, faith is sharede, and all are encouraged to feel at home at Sacred Herat.
Welcome Committee
The Welcoming Committee helps ensure that newcomers and visitors feel at home at Sacred Heart. Members greet new parishioners, provide information about parish life and ministry opportunities, and extend personal invitations to bebome involved in the life of the parish. Mrembers of the committee offer new parishioners a gift basket from the parish and help them work with ministries and opportunities in which they are interested.
Building and Grounds Committee
The Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for helping care for and maintain the buildings and grounds of Sacred Heart so that they remain safe, welcoming, and a worthy space for worship and ministry. Committee memnbers work with the pastor and parish staff to identify maintenance needs, recommend repairs and improvements, and help oversee projects that preserve and enhance the parish campus. Througout the year, the committee also coordinates parish work days and welcomes volunteers of all skill levels to assit with landscaping, gardeninig, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance projects.
Those with experience in construction, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, HVVAC, landscaping, or other trades are expecially encouraged to share their time and talents, though anyone with a willingness to help is welcome.
Caring for the parish is an important act of Christian stewardship. By offering their time and talents, members of the Building and Grounds Committee help provide a beautiful, safe, and invitinig environment where the faithful can gather to worship God, grow in faith, and experience the hospitality fo the parish community.
Gardening Ministry:
The Gardening Ministry is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of the Sacread Heart campus through the care of its gardens, flower beds, trees, and landscaped areas. Throughout the grwoing season, volunteers plant, weed, prune, water, and maintaini the parish grounds, helping to create a peaceful and welcome environment for parishioners and visitors alike.
Whether you are an experienced gardner or simply enjoy working outdoors, there is a place for you in this ministry. Volunteers may participate on a regular basis or lend a hand during seasonal clean-up dayss and special landscaping projects. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps beautify our parish home.
The beauty of our church grounds is a visible expression of our love for God and our care of His house. Through this ministry of stewardship, volunteers help create a setting that inspires prayer, extends hospitality, and reflects the dignity and joy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Office Volunteers
Parish office volunteers assit the parish staff with a variety of administrative and hospitality tasks taht help support the daily life and mission of Sacred Heart. Volunteers may answer telephones, prepare mailings, assemble parish materials, organize supplies, assists with special projects, and provide a welcoming presence to parishioners and visitors who come to the parish office.
Whether you have just a few hours each week or are available on an occassional basis, your time and talents are greatly appreciated. Through this quiet but essential ministry, volunteers help ensure that he parish office remains a welcoming, efficient, and caring resource for everyone who seeks assistance or information from Sacred Heart.
CARE: Christ’s Ambassadors Reaching Everyone:
The CARE Ministry serves parishioners who, because of age, illness, or other circumstances, are no longer able to participate regulary in the life of our parish. Through prayer, personal visits, cards, season gifts, and ongoing communication, members of this ministry help ensure that our homebound parishioners remain connected to their Sacred Heart family and know hey are remembered and loved.
CARE Ministry volunteers work together to coordinate visits, provide encouragement, keep parish records current, and help ensure that those who desire Sacrements recieve them regularly. Through this ministry of compassoin and accompaniment, volunteers bring Christ’s love to those who are unable to come to church, reminding them that they remain a valued and cherished part of our parish community.
Funeral Luncheon Miniistry:
This group provides a luncheon for the family, friends, and community of the deceased following funeral liturgies at Sacred Heart, offering a welcoming place to gather, share memories, and support one anoher during a time of loss.
This ministry if a beautiful expression of Christian charity and hospitality. When a funeral luncheon is requested, volunteers are contacted to assist with preparation, serving setup, cleanup, dishwashing, and other tasks. Whether you enjoy cooking, making phone calls, serving guests, or helping behing the scenes, there is a place for you in this ministry. Those who are unabale to deliver food on the day of the luncheon may make arrangements to early drop-off or pickup.
